A curtain call for Romeo and the program

As the program winds to a close, we've done our best to cram in some last-minute events.

On Sunday before Romeo and Juliet, since we had to walk to The Globe from the St. Paul's tube station, we decided to take some time before the play to snap pictures of St. Paul's Cathedral and of the Millennium bridge. And there was just something fitting about having our last play, Romeo and Juliet, also be the last performance by its current cast and production team. As they tossed roses to the crowd (my friends Caty and Donald each caught one), it gave our program a bit of its own curtain call.

On Monday, one of our last days in London, several of us went to Trafalgar Square to explore the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery. It was mostly to look at pictures we were to be tested on, but we got to explore a bit — I bought some beautiful Van Gogh artwork, which I'll have an interesting time protecting on the flight home.

As the program comes to a close, I'm beginning to realize how much I'm going to miss London. But I'll get nostalgic back in the States — for now, I've got some epic packing to do. I perhaps bought too many items: my carry-on bag resembles a souvenir shop!
