American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education honors three

Three professors will be presented with awards for their work on March 5, 2011, at the sixth annual American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education National Conference.
 
Judith Baca, a professor in the César E. Chávez Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies and co-founder of the Social and Public Art Resource Center, will be honored with the Outstanding Latino/a Cultural Arts, Fine and Performing Arts Award.
 
Chon Noriega, professor of film, television and digital media and director of the Chicano Studies Research Center, will receive the Outstanding Latino/a Cultural Arts, Literary Arts and Publications Award.
 
Sylvia Hurtado, professor of education and director of the Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA, has been chosen to receive the Outstanding Latino/a Faculty in Higher Education (Research Institutions) Award.
