Campus to celebrate life of Winston Doby
A campus memorial service celebrating the life of Winston Doby, UCLA vice chancellor emeritus for student affairs, will be held Monday, Jan. 23, at Royce Hall. He
died Nov. 10.
A visionary leader whose efforts to broaden opportunities for educationally disadvantaged students were nationally recognized, Doby dedicated his career to increasing student diversity and access at UCLA and throughout the University of California system for more than three decades. In the latter part of his career, he served as UC vice president for educational outreach and later UC vice president for student affairs.
The service, which is open to all, will be held at 3 p.m. in Royce Hall. Please RSVP
