Have breakfast (or lunch) with the chancellor

 
On Friday, Nov. 6, 13 randomly selected staff members will have a chance to sit down, eat and talk with Chancellor Gene Block during this fall's “Breakfast with the Chancellor.”  Due to scheduling constraints, it will technically be lunch, held from noon to 1:30 PM.
 
DSC 0111Any staff member who has been working at UCLA for at least one year and currently holds career appointment is eligible to apply for the event, which is hosted quarterly by UCLA’s Staff Assembly and the Chancellor’s Office.
 
The event not only gives Chancellor Block the opportunity to meet and hear from the UCLA staff, but staff members will also get a better idea of the size and breadth of the university through their interactions with other staff members.
 
To ensure that the maximum number may participate, those selected to attend may not apply again; however, those who have applied but who were not selected may apply for future breakfasts. To apply, go to the Staff Assembly website and complete the online application available here.
 
Supervisors of those selected to attend will be notified and are encouraged to grant sufficient release time for the breakfast, provided that the absence would not infringe upon the performance of required job duties. Applications for breakfast will be due by Friday, Oct. 23.
