Professor appointed to National Research Council committee

Mark Kleiman
Mark Kleiman, professor of publicy policy at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, has been appointed to the Committee on Law and Justice, a standing committee within the National Research Council. The committee was formed to increase scientific understanding of crime and justice issues and to provide assistance to the National Institute of Justice.
 
Kleiman was appointed to a two-year term on the committee. He is among six new members of the board approved for membership by the Chairman of the National Research Council, Ralph J. Cicerone.
 
Kleiman is an expert on crime policy. He teaches courses on methods of policy analysis as well as on drugs abuse and crime control policy. He was also recently named a National Institute of Justice Visiting Felow.
