Staff honors

landreganLandscape Architecture Program Director Stephanie Landregan recently was installed as the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) national vice president of government affairs at ASLA’s annual meeting and expo, held this year in Chicago. In this position, Landregan will help set the organization’s legislative agenda, focusing on topics such as climate change, sustainable landscape ordinances, professional licensure, the “complete streets” approach to road network planning, and the Historic American Landscapes Survey.
 
FrankBurrisIn December, Engineering, Information Systems, and Technical Management Program Director Frank Burris will retire after 21 years of service with UCLA Extension. Burris founded Extension’s Custom Programs unit. Prior to joining UCLA Extension, he had a distinguished career as a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati and at Bradley University, followed by several posts overseeing internal employee training and development at RCA Corporation and General Electric Company. He holds bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati. His professional involvement has included serving as president of the International Association for Continuing Engineering Education (1998-2001).
