Weigh in on UCLA’s draft tobacco-free policy

UCLA’s Tobacco-Free Steering Committee issued a draft today of
the policy that will ban tobacco on campus next April, giving Bruins two months to review it and weigh in.
All 10 UC campuses must go tobacco-free by Jan. 2014. UCLA’s rules will prohibit cigarettes, pipes, cigars, chewing tobacco and all other forms of tobacco, as well as e-cigarettes, as required by the UC policy. Tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable disease and death in the United States.
